Deer Valley Music Festival Line Up Announced

The Deer Valley Music Festival now in it's tenth year has announced it summer concert lineup for 2013. Locals and visitors both look forward to these concerts held every summer outside at the Snow Park Lodge Amphitheater in Deer Valley. Here is just a sampling of some of the shows we have to look forward to:

June 29th - The Music Festival kicks off with the 1812 Overture!

July 6th- Take Me Home - The Music of John Denver

July 19th - Steve Martin & Steep Canyon Rangers and Edie Brickell with the Utah Symphony

July 20th - Indigo Girls with the Utah Symphony

August 2 - Bond and Beyond - a 50th anniversary tribute to James Bond films

August 3 - Mandy Patinkin with the Utah Symphony

August 10 - The Music of the Rolling Stones

Pink Martini Performance at the Deer Valley Music Festival

We got a chance to see Pink Martini perform at the Deer Valley Music Festival with the Utah Symphony last Saturday. It was one of the most popular shows of the Festival with a packed house enjoying the music. Pink Martini Band includes twelve musicians that have performed on concert stages with symphony orchestras throughout Europe, Asia, Greece, Australia, Northern Africa, New Zealand and North America. They draw their inspiration from all over the world, playing classical, jazz, and old-fashioned pop.

Seeing them at the Snow Park Amphitheater in our beautiful mountains made the music even better. They have sold out concerts at Carnegie Hall, and here we are in Deer Valley enjoying their musical talent. They put on a excellent show, coming back for 3 encores due to the crowds enthusiasm. It was a great night and we highly recommend seeing them if you ever get the chance.

Get ready to rock! This summer Deer Valley's Snow Park Amphitheater will host world class musicians under the stars every week. Tonight at 8pm, John Fogerty will perform at Deer Valley and fans of Credence Clearwater Revival tunes, as well as his recent solo albums will be able to hear up close and personal, this amazing rock legend. So pack a picnic, blanket, family& friends, and enjoy "Born on The Bayou", "Proud Mary" and many more tunes from this prolific singer songwriter tonight at Deer Valley.

Tickets On Sale Now For St. Regis Summer Concerts

Tickets went on sale this week for the first three announced concerts in the 2012 St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights outdoor concert series at Deer Valley Resort. Tickets were available to Park City Performing Arts members earlier this week and are available today for the general public.

The first concert taking place July 13th is soul, R&B, and gospel singer Aaron Neville. Opening for Neville is the legendary New Orleans band The Dirty Dozen Brass Band. The second concert is Dwight Yoakam the chart-topping multi-platinum singer/songwriter who has two grammys and is considered a country music pioneer. His concert will be July 29th. The third concert is Roger Hodgson from the progressive rock band, Supertramp. Hodgson has penned and sung tons of chart-topping hits such as: "Give a Little Bit," "Take the Long Way Home," and "Dreamer," just to name a few. Hodgson will perform on August 5th.

All concerts take place at Deer Valley's Snow Park Lodge under the beautiful summer sky. Lawn and reserved tickets are available for every show. Tickets are available at the Eccles Center for Performing Arts on Kearns Blvd. starting today or by going to www.ecclescenter.org starting May 3rd.

We are so excited for the summer concerts to begin!

Deer Valley Music Festival Schedule Announced

The ninth annual Deer Valley Music Festival will be returning to the Snow Park Amphitheater this summer from July 14 through August 11. The Utah Symphony & Utah Opera Deer Valley Music Festival always brings the best in every genre of music performances to our beautiful mountain town.

The Festival will open with the Music of Michael Jackson featuring James Delisco and will be followed by performances featuring Pink Martini, Kansas, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Earth, Wind,& Fire. Other popular programs such as "Disney in Concert: Magical Music from the Movie," the annual 1812 Overture, and "Opera Hits", will be featured.

All concerts are held on Friday and Saturday at the Snow Park Amphitheatre in addition to Wednesday concerts at St. Mary's Church. VIP packages are available and include VIP parking, pre-concert gourmet dinner at Deer Valley Resort, premium seating, and access to the intermission reception. Season ticket packages and group tickets for all Deer Valley Music Festival concerts are now on sale and can be purchased at the Abravanel Hall Ticket Office by calling 801-553-6683. Single tickets are available at deervallemusicfestival.org. These concerts sell out fast, so get your tickets now before it is too late. Melissa Etheridge Rocked Deer Valley This Past Weekend

We were lucky enough to attend the sold-out Melissa Etheridge concert at the Snow Park Amphitheatre at Deer Valley on Saturday. She played a great show, and had the crowd on their feet for over 2 hours! Another wonderful summer concert here in Park City!

Goo Goo Dolls Play Deer Valley

Craig Reece got up close and personal at the Goo Goo Dolls concert at Deer Valley last night. The band played a high energy concert with no breaks or intermission. It was a great night here in Park City!

This weekend there are some other great events not to be missed.

Saturday August 20th:

Park City Marathon and Half-Marathon start and finish at Newpark Town Plaza.

Melissa Etheridge playing at Deer Valley shows starts at 7pm.

Free Canyons Concert Series featuring MarchFourth Marching Band, show starts at 6pm.

Sunday August 21st:

Park Silly Sunday Market - On Lower Main Street from 10am to 5pm.
