Craig and I enjoyed hiking through the beautiful wildflowers at Alta ski resort a few days ago. The wildflowers are in full bloom about a month late because of the heavy winter and springtime snow storms.

It doesn't get much more cost effective than solar heat. Its more economical than electricity, propane or oil and some states even offer sales tax exemptions, income tax credits and property tax exemptions or deductions.
The size of your house, local covenants and heating needs are factors in choosing the size of your heating system, and a professional in solar heat panel installations will be your best source of information. Take into consideration your local climate, the type and efficiency of the collector to determine how much heat the system can provide. Its usually most economical to design an active system to provide 40%-80% of the homes needs and a well designed and insulated home that incorporates passive solar heating techniques will use a smaller heating system, needing less supplemental heat.
Once installed, maintenance is essential and an average system will require between 8-16 hours of upkeep a year. Dont forget to make certain your homeowners policy covers the upgrade. Most are already automatically covered, but its essential to ascertain what your insurance providers policy is regarding it.

Want to dazzle prospective buyers with your house? Then re-do your garage! Todays garage isnt just for parking the car anymore. With a little re-designing it can be a beautiful room, just like the rest of the house.
First thing to do? Get as much as possible up off the floor. Shelves, closed cabinets and ceiling racks are great for this. You can get all of your gardening equipment up, store tennis rackets, kids skateboards and sports equipment, your golf clubs and anything else you keep stashed it he garage in any one of these.
Next, re-finish your floor. Take that dull garage-gray and have it re-done to coordinate with the room that the garage leads to. Tile and granite floors are very popular right now, as are painting unique designs on the floor. Talk to your designer about making your garage a room potential buyers will see and remember.

According to an Arizona State University report Utah's job growth was the fifth-best in the nation from June 2010 to June 2011. Utah's economy created 23,500 jobs from June 2010 to June 2011, a 1.98 percent increase that was double the national average.
Utah's numbers also were better then most states because the state avoided large layoffs of government employees. Just another good indication that Utah is fairing much better then most states during these hard economic times.
