Hard to believe the Park City Kimball Arts Festival turns 50 this year, and everyone is invited to celebrate this weekend August 2-4 on beautiful Main Street! The Kimball Arts Festival is the main fundraiser for the Kimball Arts Center and with it being 50 years, there will be some special offerings this year. The Free to Fest is an offering this year for primary residents of Summit County, free admission for the whole festival! Residents must register by Friday Aug 2, to claim their free tickets, by going to kimballartcenter.org.
There also will be a new exhibit called "Festival Throughout the Ages," which is collection of photos taken during the festival's past 50 years. The exhibit will be on display in two locations, the Rockwell Room, at 268 Main St., and the VIP Room at the Kimball Terrance at Main Street and Heber Ave. There will also be 50th anniversary shirts and water bottles for sale.
This year there will be 220 artists, as part of the festival. More than 1000 applied which is the largest amount they have ever received. The festival starts Friday Aug 2 from 5-9pm, Saturday Aug 3 from 10am-8pm, and Sunday Aug 4 from 10am-6pm. For more info go to: parkcitykimballartsfestival.org
