The snow began to fall Sunday night and left a nice dusting up high on the peaks of the mountains in Park City. Then Monday night it snowed again bringing the snow lower and leaving a few inches on the runs in Upper Deer Valley and roof tops of the homes in Silver Lake and Empire Pass. Then Tuesday night the big storm came and all of Park City woke up to several inches of snow! Deer Valley is saying between 8-10 inches fell and Alta is reporting 14 inches in the last 24 hours! It is a winter wonderland in early October. The boots and hats had to come out this morning and we have all kinds of mixed feelings about it.
With Park City Resort opening day scheduled in about 48 days and Deer Valley Resort in about 58 days the snow is a welcome site but it does make the fall colors pretty much go flat, and the colors were amazing this year. It is exciting to think of pulling out all the winter gear, sipping on hot cocoa, and sitting by a fire! If you thinking of doing a ski trip to Park City or Deer Valley this year it is time to make those reservations. Or if you have been thinking of purchasing your dream ski condo or home now is the perfect time to visit and see what is on the market before everyone comes in for ski season and it is hard to get into to see listings.
Search ski properties here or contact us with any questions you have about Deer Valley or Park City real estate. Below are some photos I took today here in Park City.
