This weekend Park City has plenty going on even though it is considered the slow time right now! Remember that Live PC Give PC is Friday, a 24 hour day of giving that benefits non-profits. Here are the other happenings this weekend:
Adopt-a-Native Elder Navajo Rug Show and Sale - The 29th annual Adopt-a-Native Elder rug show and sale will return to Deer Valley's Snow Park Lodge this weekend! It begins Friday from 6-10pm with a sale preview of traditional hand-woven rugs, hors d' oeuvres, entertainment and a live auction. Saturday and Sunday the show goes from 10am to 6pm and Navajo rugs, jewelry, and crafts will be available for purchase. There will also be weaving demonstrations, Pow Wow, veterans ceremony, and much more. Admission is $30 for adults and $10 for children under 12 on Friday and just $5 on Saturday and Sunday. Melissa Manchester - Grammy Award-winning singer Melissa Manchester will perform at the Egyptian Theater on Main Street. Melissa is known for her songs "Don't Cry Out Loud," "Midnight Blue," and her new song "A Better Rainbow." Showtimes will be Friday and Saturday and 8pm and Sunday at 6pm. Tickets range from $39 to $55.
Park City Beethoven Festival - Park City Beethoven Festival will present award-winning pianist Michael Gurt at the Park City Community Church at 4501 N S.R. 224. There will be two performances by Michael who is an award-winning pianist, one on Friday which is $25 for adults and $20 for seniors and students. Then on Saturday there will be a salon performance with a dinner buffet. Tickets are $65 per person. Both concerts will feature other Beethoven resident musicians.
Park City Film Series - This weekend the Park City Film Series will present Roger Mitchell's "Tea with the Dames," which isn't rated at the Jim Santy Auditorium. The film is about actresses Judi Dench, Eileen Atkins, Dames Maggie Smith, and Joan Plowright who are longtime friends and meet up for a weekend in the country to reminisce and share their candid thoughts on aging, living life in the spotlight, and art. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 6pm. Tickets are $8 and $7 for seniors and students.
