TripAdvisor came out with the Top 10 U.S. Wellness Destinations in the Nation and Park City came in at #8!  

The travel planning and booking site identified what it called 'zen destinations' and were happy to see that Park City made the list.  With Park City's endless trail systems, clean air, and so many healthy things to do it really is a zen place to get away!

 Here are a few of the happenings this weekend in Park City:

The Ventures - The Ventures an instrumental surf band will perform at 8pm on Friday and Saturday at the Egyptian Theater.  Tickets range from $35 to $55.  Go to www.parkcityshows.com for more info. 

Park City Film Series - This week the Park City - Film Series will present Paul Thomas Anderson's Academy Award-winning "Phantom Thread," which is rated R.  "Phantom Thread," is about renowned dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock played by Daniel Day-Lewis.  Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 6pm, at the Jim Santy Auditorium at the Park City Library.  Tickets are $8 for general admission and $7 for students and seniors.

The Olympic Legacy Foundation is a nonprofit organization responsible for operating the Utah Olympic Park, Soldier Hollow and the Utah Olympic Oval.    President of the Foundation went before the Summit County Council last week to ask the county's help in securing bond financing for three multi-million-dollar projects.  The main project that would be financed under the bond would be the construction of a four-story, 72-unit athlete and work force housing building. The $13.2 million project would serve local and visiting athletes, as well as portions of Utah Olympic Park's work force.

Zagat.com came out with their pick of the 15 hottest restaurants in Park City and they included some old favorites and some new restaurants infusing Park City with more variety.  Some of the picks are fine dining including: Firewood, Tupelo, and Apex Steak, but they also included more casuals restaurants like: Eating Establishment, Harvest, and Boneyard.
