Whether you’re looking for family friendly activities for the kiddos or a ghoulish night out on the town, Historic Main Street is where you want to be for Halloween. Halloween on Historic Park City’s Main Street was named one of the top Halloween celebrations in the country by Travel and Leisure magazine and we couldn't agree more!
Historic Main Street Merchants open up their doors to trick-or-treaters on Halloween for a safe and fun way to see all the amazing costumes! The street is packed (and closed to cars for the afternoon) with kids and parents getting tons of candy at the local businesses from 3-5.
And of course it wouldn’t be Park City if the dogs weren’t included in the festivities. Following trick-or-treating is the Howl-O-Ween Dog parade. The Howl-O-Ween Parade is one of our finest traditions and residents really go all out to dress up their doggies. The parade begins at 5 o’clock on Lower Main Street owners/parents show off their costumed pets as they stroll up Main Street to Heber Avenue. Even if you don’t have a dog, this is fun to watch. The creativity people show in their dog costume creation is just mind blowing.
After the family friendly activities many bars on Main Street have Halloween parties with live music and costume contests. Just remember that Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic starting at 2pm, take the free bus for easy access. Halloween in Park City is not to be missed!
