Park City Mountain’s Spring Grüv festival is happening now through closing day (April 7) with activities, music and special events at both base areas every day! This year’s Spring Grüv will be highlighted by the two remaining Saturday concerts: Anderson East on March 30 (Park City Mountain Village) and Dragondeer on April 6 (Canyons Village). Other activities include free s’mores, family après activities, meet and greets with the avalanche dogs.
The big event everyone looks forward to is the 23rd annual Pond Skimming competition held at the top of the Red Pine Gondola just outside Red Pine Lodge. Competitors must dress up in costume and try to cross a 100 foot pond on either skis or snowboard. The hilarity that plays out is well worth the wait for this end of the season party! Contestants much be 10 or older to compete and spectators are free, but you must have a lift or gondola ticket to get up there. Pond Skimming will be held on Saturday April 6th starting at 12pm.
