Wasatch County approved plans for a major development in the Mayflower area on the eastern reaches of Deer Valley Resort.  The 940 acres is on the Deer Valley side of U.S. 40 just south of the Mayflower exit and close to the Jordanelle Reservoir.  

The approval consists of:  1498 residential units, 10 hotel units, a hotel for the benefit of the military, 250,000 sq feet of commercial space, recreation center, and housing for the workforce.  The project also call for expansion of Deer Valley Resort with six new lifts, which will expand the resort by an estimated 900 acres.  It will be designed as a resort village with easy walk-ability, ski beach, ice-skating rink, and plenty of parking for skiers.  The development could take up to 40 years to

The Ikon Pass just announced early today that they are adding two more Utah Resorts to their pass: Solitude and Brighton Resort! This Friday June 15, Deer Valley Resort and Park City Mountain Resort will fully open their summer lift services!  That means you will have lift-served hiking and biking every day of the week through August!  There are some new trails to try at Deer Valley and they also added twilight rides every Wednesday this year that go from 4pm to 8pm!  See more details on both full opening here: Resorts open for summer

Season Pass

 Alterra Mountain Company announced an update for purchasers of full Deer Valley Season Passes. People who purchase a Deer Valley Resort 2018-2019 eligible Full Season Pass by December 15 will receive a complimentary Ikon Base Pass.

This benefit is only available for 2018-2019 Full Deer Valley Season Pass purchases including Adult One, Adult Two, Teen, Child, Senior, Super Senior, College Student and Military. Deer Valley Tot and Midweek passes are not eligible for the program.

Capital improvements

Deer Valley Resort has unveiled its largest investment in capital improvements in over a decade with $8.1 million in mountain enhancements for the 2018-2019 season.

The snow is nearly gone and the mountains are abound in green, which means it is time to get hiking!  Deer Valley Resort has some of the best hiking trails in Park City and with many options for novices to experts.  They also have 3 lifts running in the summer (starting mid-June) so you can choose to hike up then ride the lift down or vice versa.

It’s official – the Ikon Pass launches March 6 for the 18/19 season.  It comes in two tiers – the Ikon Pass and the Ikon Base Pass –starting at $599.  The Ikon Pass includes 26 ski resorts in North America, with three in Utah including: Alta, Snowbird, and Deer Valley Resort.
