Park City Council recently finalized a contract for trail-head improvements in Bonanza Flat, the first of its kind since City Hall acquired the scenic area over a year ago. The work includes a parking area, kiosk for maps, and restrooms that will be put in next spring. The areas will be at the Empire, Quarry, and Quincy Shaft trail-heads. Bonanza Flats is a popular space with hikers and bikers in the summer and fall and cross-country skiers in the winter. Parking is an issue on the weekends and restrooms will be a welcome site to many.
Bonanza Flats was acquired in mid-2017 in a 38 million conservation deal. It is a beautiful place to be enjoyed for many generations to come!
