The inaugural Park City Songwriter Festival will bring music to Park City Friday Sept. 13 and Saturday Sept. 14.  The two-day event will take place at several places in Park City including: the Rockwell Listening Room, The Cabin, Flanagan's on Main, and The Spur Bar and Grill.  There will be acoustic performances by award winning songwriters,  keynote speeches by industry movers and shakers, and free workshops.  Artists such as John Popper of Blues Traveler, Rita Wilson, North Mississippi Allstars, and Marc Brossard are just some of the names performing this weekend for the festival.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Level Two is under construction. At the south end of the building, the framing of walls has begun for Residence 201. At the north end, plumbing sleeves, rebar, and PT cables are complete, and the concrete has been poured. With the concrete slab complete, framing crews can continue along from the south end to Residence 202, 203 and 204.

A Deer Valley Resort executive has confirmed that by the end of 2019 or early 2020 they intend to submit plans to City Hall for the initial work needed for the eventual development of the Snow Park Lodge parking lots.  The first plans will be for the utilities and garage of the development, known as Snow Park Village.  The original approval documents from the 1970s, allowed for 210 residential units, 21,000 square feet of commercial space, and another 20,000 square feet of commercial space designed to support the residences.  

The work on the utilities and garage could commence in 2022, at the earliest, and more likely several years later, depending on approval process.  For more information go here: Snow Park Project Nearing
