Deer Valley Resort  had a great  season with 353 inches of snow fall and closed April 7 with 110 inch snow base . There is still 5 feet of snow on the Silver Lake Lodge roof behind Delia, as you can see from the picture above.  

Last season when Deer Valley closed they had only had a 50 inch snow base! It was an amazing ski season and now we look forward to the beautiful summer here in Park City, even though it will probably take a few months for all the snow to melt!

Sweep the kitchen, bathrooms, and entryway. Give the baseboards and window sills a quick once over, and quickly wiping down the furniture, TV screens, and computer monitors can help make each room shine.

Make The Counter-tops Sparkle
All counters in the kitchen and bath should be clean and clear. Remove clutter as well as small appliances and knick-knacks that should be stored.

Load The Dishwasher And Washer and Dryer
Clear the dishes off the counters and out of sinks by loading the dishwasher, but do not start the cycle if it will be running during the showing.

Park City Mountain’s Spring Grüv festival is happening now through closing day (April 7) with activities, music and special events at both base areas every day! This year’s Spring Grüv will be highlighted by the two remaining Saturday concerts:  Anderson East on March 30 (Park City Mountain Village) and Dragondeer on April 6 (Canyons Village). Other activities include free s’mores, family après activities, meet and greets with the avalanche dogs.  

The big event everyone looks forward to is the 23rd annual Pond Skimming competition held at the top of the Red Pine Gondola just outside Red Pine Lodge.  Competitors must dress up in costume and try to cross a 100 foot pond on either skis or snowboard.  The hilarity that plays out is well worth the wait for

The Summit Land Conservancy has until March 31 to raise the final $375,000 needed to secure  a conservation easement to preserve the Osguthorpe Farm on Old Ranch Road in Park City as open space.  

Summit Land Conservancy has secured a federal grant for $8.8 million. Summit County will grant $500,000 with other grants that total $605,000. Over 800 individuals have donated over $3.5 million, and the owners of the farm have reduced the price by 3.9M.  The final dollars must be received before the end of March, if not, the federal grants will be lost.

Millennials are choosing Salt Lake City as their #1 place to buy homes! According to a new report by online marketplace LendingTree,  Salt Lake came out on top compared to other of the nation’s 50 largest metro areas, which analyzed mortgage requests from January to November of 2018. 

Millennials made up 51% of the total purchase requests in Salt Lake City, their ages range from early 20s and mid-30s.  Salt Lake has been called the silicone slopes and is along with Park City is a hub for start-ups.  With Salt Lake being so close to many national and state parks, several ski resorts, and other endless outdoor activities it shows that the younger generation is looking for that balance between city and nature.
