Adopt-a-Native Elder Navajo Rug Show and Sale - The 29th annual Adopt-a-Native Elder rug show and sale will return to Deer Valley's Snow Park Lodge this weekend!  It begins Friday from 6-10pm with a sale preview of traditional hand-woven rugs, hors d' oeuvres, entertainment and a live auction.  Saturday and Sunday the show goes from 10am to 6pm and Navajo rugs, jewelry, and crafts will be available for purchase. There will also be weaving demonstrations, Pow Wow, veterans ceremony, and much more.  Admission is $30 for

Treasure Approved in Park City

Park City voters on Tuesday overwhelmingly approved a $48 million ballot measure that will fund most of the cost of the acquisition of the Treasure land in a conservation deal, ending more than three decades of uncertainty about the acreage overlooking Old Town along the route of the Town Lift.

According to preliminary totals released on Tuesday night, 2,839 people, or 77 percent, voted in favor of the measure, while 836, or 33 percent, cast nay votes. The voters approved the bulk of the funding needed for the $64 million acquisition of Treasure, as well as a contribution of up to $3 million for an unrelated conservation deal in Thaynes Canyon.

It’s how we’re working together to preserve the place we love—so it will continue to thrive for generations to come.  Whether it be protecting open space, maintaining Park City's beautiful trails, helping dog and cats, or those affected by domestic violence, there are over 100 nonprofits to choose from to give to on November 9th. 

Last year $2,026,917 million was raised in 24 hours, and 107 nonprofits participated and there was more than 4,000 donors.  Many businesses in Park City also

Talisker has released “Moonshadow” consisting of 8 building lots at Empire Pass that range in size from .48 to .98 acres. There is open-space below all of these lots which will make these lots appear larger, all these lots are downhill builds.

Park City's Flying Dog trail was named one of the top 10 Mountain Biking  in North America by Onthesnow.com! Ski resort towns are normally known for their great mountain biking trails and Park City certainly delivers in this category.  With over 400 miles of trails and so many option for mountain biking it isn't a surprise that a trail in Park City made the list.  The Flying Dog trail is located in the Glenwild area of Park City which has a plethora of trails to enjoy year round.  It is a scenic and moderate trail but there are several options to make your ride more difficult or easier.  There are options of 10, 16 or 23 mile options or something for everyone.

Future Mayflower Resort

MAYFLOWER MOUNTAIN RESORT UPDATE

Wasatch County recently approved plans for a major development envisioned to become an eastern portal of Deer Valley Resort. The 940 acres are located on the Deer Valley side of U.S. 40 south of the Mayflower exit, stretching from close to the Jordanelle Reservoir to the slopes.

A YEAR ROUND RESORT VILLAGE

Mayflower Mountain Resort will consist of 1,498 residential units, allowing a mixture of houses, hotel rooms, and condominiums. Viewed as a second Deer Valley base area with shops, restaurants, and more, Mayflower Mountain Resort will be designed to be pedestrian friendly with many easy transit options.
